  • Having been to several chiropractors in my lifetime I can say with confidence that Dr. Shana is the best! She's effective, yet gentle, doesn't force you into a "program" and makes a way to squeeze you in when you need her. I have been going to her for years in Maui and am so happy she relocated to this area! Definitely give her an opportunity to adjust you. She is a great family chiropractor and EXCELLENT for pregnant mothers too! -Lisa N. (Seattle, WA)
  • I first saw Dr. Shana during a visit to Maui in 2005. A very long and stressful flight left me in excruciating pain. She helped me be able to enjoy my vacation! I just found out she relocated to Seattle and I had my first appointment with her today! She is just as professional as I remember and her new office is lovely! I will always recommend Dr. Shana to everyone I know. Look no further, Dr Wasserman will be your lifelong chiropractor too! - Treasure L. (Spokane, WA.)
  • Dr. Wasserman is simply fantastic, from the first session she made it easy for me to sleep like a baby, the headaches were all gone! Dr. Wasserman's approach is very professional, she takes her time listening to your story and asking you a bunch of question to asses your case. She also recommends the required exercises and has a magical touch. I have had sever pain in my neck and back for a long time and Dr. Shana was able to fix me in no time. She is by far the best chiropractor I have ever visited. Thank you

What Is Chiropractic?

What is Chiropractic

Doctors of Chiropractic medicine (D.C.s) are family doctors. They adjust the spine with easy, manual thrusts to move the spinal vertebrae back to their normal positions. A chiropractor will sometimes also adjust the joints of the neck, arms, and legs. Spinal adjustments may relieve a spectrum of ailments such as neck pain, back pain, headaches, migraines, arm, hand, and leg pain that’s due to dysfunction of the neck or lower back.

What Training Do Chiropractors Have?

Chiropractic Training

Chiropractors are licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. A rigorous course of study is necessary to receive a degree of Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.). According to Chiropractic Truth, there are over 60,000 D.C.s practicing in the United States. All state licensing boards require two to four years of undergraduate education, and completion of a four-year chiropractic college course.

What conditions do chiropractors treat?

What Conditions do Chiropractors Treat

Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) care for patients of all ages, with a variety of health conditions. DCs are especially well known for their expertise in caring for patients with back pain, neck pain and headaches...particularly with their highly skilled manipulations or chiropractic adjustments. These painful conditions often involve or impact the nervous system, which can cause referred pain and dysfunction distant to the region of injury. The benefits of chiropractic care extend to general health issues, as well, since our body structure affects our overall function.
